Is IT Suitable for me?

The primary aim is to provide the opportunity for you to get in those ‘base miles’ but there is no shortage of some great climbs to test your current form. However, whilst it’s billed as a training camp, it’s perfectly suitable if you just want to get in some miles in a great environment with like minded cyclists. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are unsure.

How long are the rides?

Rides will always have a group leader, are usually between 3-6 hours and most days include a café stop.

What pace are the rides?

If you are reasonably comfortable riding in groups and can maintain a pace that a typical winter club ride requires, then this camp is for you.

Is it just cycling that we offer?

We also offer the option of joining a number of local ‘club runs’ which tend to be higher paced (for which read sometimes more like a race!).

When is it?

For 2023, we will offering bookings between 26th February and 26th March. There will be no restrictions as to how many days you join us.

Airport Transfers

We can provide coach (with a bike trailer) transfers form the airport to the hotel and return for groups of 4 or more. This service attracts an additional cost but is usually a cheaper alternative to a taxi.

Dependant on numbers, several different rides are offered each day to accommodate everyone.

Our
feedback

"Unlike other training camps on the island this is based in Palma. This means it’s 10 minutes from the airport and allows you to join the Spanish club runs. The price included ‘as much as you can eat’ breakfast and evening meal. I honestly wondered how he was making any money as I ate the contents of the restaurant each night.

In total i did 500 miles, 5500 metres of climbing and I even bagged a KOM on Strava.

For 2 of the days we hooked up with around 50 spanish riders for their club run. Spanish riders from different clubs all go out 4 times a week. Each ride is around 70 – 80 miles. I call it a club ride but its actually a race with money for 1st to the cafe stop."
"Just wanted to say what a great training camp it was, will definitely be going again. The weather was fab and the company even better (I was the only woman)!! . Professional set up with the training, very fit, safe riders from all over the country and the Spaniards were great too. I now have to learn how to take my jacket off in a bunch riding 20mph or chance getting dropped again ! Thanks for making my first trip very enjoyable guys"
First training camp this year with world velo, fantastic week. Chris and Jonathan do great job leading the daily rides, always ready to mix them up with some hard training efforts, climbing or just steady cafe rides.

The hotel is excellent, very reasonably priced, good plentiful buffet food, very clean and tidy. The pass locked bike room in the basement is excellent,no need to worry about bike security.

Cheers for a great week, shared the experience with some top people,I'll definitely be going back
Well what a great few days. Thanks for arranging the wall to wall sun boys, impressive. Chris and John are great ride leaders and create inclusive rides and routes for the groups. The hotel is spot on for anyone. Decent food, and the rooms are spot. Even the evening entertainment is - kind of entertaining!
If you fancy a good solid camp don't hesitate. Jim.
I've been every year since Velo Camp started and I'll be going again next year. Local knowledge from Chris and Jon is superb with an excellent variety of routes to suit serious cyclists. Compare the prices of this camp compared to others, the value for money is amazing.
